The nutrient film technique allows a film of slowly moving nutrient and fertilizer solutions to run down sloped channels over the roots. The excess is collected to be reused again. Finally, the aeroponic system is often used in greenhouses and creates a fine mist of the nutrient solution that wafts down onto the plants.
