Some Low Light Indoor House Plants For You

Maybe you know that you want a large indoor house plant or some low light indoor house plants, but before you decide on either, you are going to want to make sure that you take the time to research them so that you understand their growing requirements and what they are going to need in order to strive and be as healthy as possible.

What are They?

One common question that beginner gardeners have is what are the low light indoor house plants? Well basically low light indoor house plants are plants that can tolerate low levels of light, and it is pretty much as simple as that. If you want to grow plants indoors but you live in a home where there is not much sunlight, or you live in a cooler climate where most days are overcast, then choosing low light indoor house plants is going to be your best bet.

There are a few great options that you have if you are ever looking for plants with low light requirements. There is the Dracaena species for one, and this is one of the most popular groups of low light plants that you can choose to grow indoors. These are upright prostrate plants that range from the short Dracaena massagneana tips to the large 20 ft. tall Marginata trees.

These plants are very easy to care for, which is one of the main reasons that they are so popular, and they are definitely one of the more hardy groups of plants.

Another great option that you have for low light indoor house plants is the bamboo palm. If you have very low light conditions in your home, then this is one plant that you are definitely going to want to consider. This plant likes to stay uniformly moist, and keep in mind that the new plants will have a thick canopy and so you can expect to lose some of the interior foliage as the plant begins to acclimate to your indoor settings.

No matter which types of indoor plants you decide on, try to keep the temperature in your home as stable as possible. This is important because with drastic weather changes, your plants are going to have to continue to adapt to the temperature changes and this can be very damaging on them.

By researching the types of plants that you have, you are going to find it easiest to take care of them.
