1. You need to keep your blades sharp!

* You will want to sharpen your blades every now and then. You will find that not only do they cut the grass in a clean manner, but they also are the reason that the yard is healthy. You will also find that the blades can get dull in a month or two, if you use it regularly. You will need to make sure that you properly and in a safe manner take good care of the lawn mower.

2. Replace and cleanse the air filter

* A lot of times you will need to check the air filters. It should be cleaned so that you don't have to deal with a clog. You will also want to keep in mind that they are just paper filters so that they are meant to be thrown away, however, if you have a foam filter you will need to clean it.

3. They tires should be well-inflated

* You will find that if you don't keep your tires inflated, then you will only be holding yourself back. You will also want to take inconsideration that the tire pressure needs to be checked every time that you use the mower.

4. Finally, you will need to make sure that you use the right oil.

* The oil is needed so that you can keep the engine lubricated. You will want to make sure that you avoid destroying the engine by always using the proper motor oil.
