Chin Liposuction

Chin Liposuction – For Men Too?

As compared with other plastic surgery methods such as the Face-lift, liposuction of the facial area advantageously gives the face a more natural appearance. The most common sections of the face that undergo liposuction are the cheeks, jowls, and the chin. (Chin) Liposuction is also widely accepted as a simpler and safer method for the sensitivity of the skin in the face. As with most methods performed on the facial areas seemingly unsatisfactory for patients, whether male or female, the face-lift could be lined with the ineffective formula for eternal youth. In addition, face-lift could even be crudely identified with scars and the purported ‘surgical look'. Face-lift is also publicly supposed as a plastic surgery operation made especially for women, while chin liposuction is considered more of as a unisexual procedure (a point in fact that men also care about their faces). In fact, it is the men who have more concerns with the appearance of their chins, for while the arms of women could have a bearing on femininity, the chin of men as a rule could also denote their manliness or lack of. Unfortunately, men could inherit ‘clef chins' more than do women and not all men are delighted with the ‘Johnny Bravo Effect'. At other times, double chins due to the collection of fats below the margin of the jaw and extending onto the front of the neck (submental or below the jaw -chin) could look too chubby and less athletic. Fatty folds on the chin part could also signify old age to some. The (face) jowl, neck, or chin liposuction then is a granted necessity not just for women.

This procedure (chin liposuction) particularly follows the tumescent technique since the ultrasonic method could above all have an extra burning or scorching sensation during the liposuction process. After a neck or chin liposuction, the post-operative procedure include the draining out of the fluid solution used in tumescent method. Included in the ‘dripping-off' is the bloody mixture that then minimizes the occurrence of blood clotting and bruising. Absorptive compressions pads are applied to the face for sanitation purposes. These though are only held for a span of eighteen to thirty-six hours. Subsequent to this, medical sutures or stitches are no longer applied to avoid scarring. More often than not, the accumulation of fat in the chin, (as with other parts of the face) is liposuctioned and then given a treatment of laser resurfacing (CO2 laser) or chemical dermabrasion right after.
