What The Eyes Convey In Body Language

The Magic of Reading Body Languages

The eyes can say more than any other part of our body. The eyes are strong backers to our verbal communications. To understand eye signals, let's take a bit of time to review the clues.

If a person is making direct contact with the eyes what are they really saying? Most times the person is attentive to the conversation, showing respect, and thinking as you speak. If a person stares into your eyes the entire time you communicate it shows that the person has a balanced mind rather than staring at you.

The mind
The mind is a tricky environment where signals travel through circuits to meet at points and to form a meaning in which the mouth can convey. The point is coming from feelings, emotions, experience, thoughts, and objective notions.

Some people work from the left-side of the brain, while others will work from the right brain. Some people have it all together and pull all sides of the brain together in an effort to convey their meaning.

The left brain people will use logical thoughts, chronological messages, rational thinking, and analytic, objective reasoning, while looking at all parts of the pie. A right brain person will randomly think, perceptive to intuition, holistically formatted, synthesizing, and subjective and will look at the whole picture rather than parts of the picture.

The mind works from behavior – emotional, hearing, visual, visual recognition, basic movements, sensations, speech, balance, muscle coordination, skilled movement, and so forth. The eyes work with the brain, yet the eyes have retinas, which see things in the colors blue, green and red. It depends on the angle the eyes are seeing as to how the body will respond. Therefore, the eyes can say a lot as to what a person is experiencing, or how a person expresses himself.

If a person says nothing of their background yet makes frequent contact with eyes, and speaks as spoken too, likely this person has a deep history that she/he is not willing to share with you at this time.

The mind is also composed of a parent side, creative side, rebellious side, child side, critical side and so on. Now, if a person is using his creative parent as he speaks, the person will look up and off to the left frequently, while bringing contact back to the eyes as necessary. If the person is using the critical side then he will often look up and off to the right, thus thinking critically as he speaks. The eyes may not continue or adhere to the direct contact of the eyes if the person uses the left or right brain more so than having balance.

If a person uses both left and right sides of the brains and seeks out all areas of the mind parent sides, thus the person will often maintain a contact with the eyes while speaking.

Some people write about body languages and how they perceive these signals. However, the magic of body language rests between a familiarity of the mind, a common knowledge of how the mind works, and how the body parts will respond to each action occurring in the brain.

If I was using my body a resting in a chair with my legs crossing over the other, while thrusting out my feet, you may think I am bored. Well, if you were an expert in reading body languages and told me that I was expressing boredom; guess what I would blow you out of the water, since I've been bored for 5 minutes total my entire lifetime. I believe a person experiencing ongoing boredom is lacking the ability to employ his creative/artistic mind, since there is always something to do in life.
