The World Of Ibanez Guitars

Guitars are one of the most popular of the many musical instruments in the world, with Ibanez Guitars being one of the most popular of guitar brands known in the world.

The Hoshino Gakki Company originally started in 1908 as the musical instrument sales arm of the Hoshino Shoten Bookstore Company. By 1935, the company started creating their unique line of stringed instruments. Soon, the company started importing Spanish guitars from the well known Salvador IbáñEz, who was famous for making excellent quality guitars. During the Spanish Civil War in 1936 to 1939, a number of the authentic guitars became unavailable, and quite sought after. The company bought the Ibanez trademark, and began producing Spanish and acoustic guitars bearing the Ibanez name.

Ibanez guitars stand tall among other guitar brands, as consultations from superstar guitar players are taken into their construction. Guitar legends like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman, Andy Timmons, George Benson, John Petrucci Sam Totman and Herman Li are among the many players who have Ibanez models made to their specifications.

As a guitar brand, Ibanez boasts impressive classes of guitars, each perfect for guitar playing, boasting superb quality and over all appearance. There are acoustic Ibanez guitars, as well as electric Ibanez guitars, as well as Ibanez electric bass guitars.

The electric guitar line of Ibanez guitars are spearheaded by the Ibanez GIO Series, which is basically the affordable range of Ibanez Electric guitars, “reaching out” to those who want quality in good prices. The GIO Series have budget copies of the RG, RX, SA, SZ and AX series of Ibanez guitars. The GRGM Mikro, also belongs to this Ibanez Guitar category.

The Ibanez RG, also referred to as the “Road Gear” series, is Ibanez’s superstrat series, which basically features 24 fret necks. Its sub series includes the Ibanez RG Prestige, the Ibanez RG Tremolo, and the Ibanez RG Fixed. Notable users of the RG Series of Ibanez Guitars would be Paul Gilbert while in Mr. Big.

The Ibanez S is another famous guitar series from the ranks of Ibanez Guitars, and is popularly called the Saver series. The Ibanez S is favorably chosen because of its light mahogany body, which also boast an ergonomic design factor. Sub categories of this Ibanez guitar line includes the Ibanez S, the Ibanez SZ, and the Ibanez SA.

Basically, if one talks about Ibanez guitars, one is already talking about some of the best guitars ever made in the world today.
