Wardrobe

Changing

So have at least two packs of disposable diapers or enough cloth diapers to last two days. A couple packs of baby wipes are also good to have as part of your supplies for a newborn baby.

A waterproof pad is also important for when you are changing your baby. Some baby bath products should also be added to your supplies for a newborn baby. You will only need a mild soap and maybe some shampoo. Some baby nail clippers are also important to keep baby's nails short to prevent scratching.

Bedding

The bedding you choose can be simple or fancy depending on your budget. You should have a crib, bassinet, or cradle that is safe. To go with this a good mattress and about four fitted sheets. You will need to change sheets regularly.

Five blankets that are lightweight are also necessary, as well as at least one more blanket that is a little heavier for cold weather. Choose your supplies for your newborn baby carefully. There is no need to buy all the supposed must have baby gadgets; you can do just fine with the basics.
