Three Dogs Bakery is set up by Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff. The founders owned three dogs, Dottie, Sarah and Gracie. These dog lovers initially created oven-baked food that contained the similar ingredients in pastries, bread and other oven-baked treats for humans. The food was intended for Gracie, a Great Dane dog that has physical disorders was sick.

The food that Dan and Mark managed to produce became an instant hit to their three dogs. Other dogs soon followed. Dog owners in Kansas City were overwhelmed with what Mark and Dan did. In 1989, the Three Dogs Bakery was founded.

Three Dogs Bakery retail stores can be found in various states of America. Retail stores can also be found in Canada and Japan.

Three Dogs Bakery has claimed that their products contain no artificial flavors, preservatives and artificial colors. Their oven-baked treats have natural ingredients. The products can be seen in various packages. The establishment has also included cat foods in its product offerings.
