Father Son Relationship

Father Son Relationship

Fathers have played their own important role in the lives of their children. In a way, the father son relationship is quite different from the father-daughter relationship, as sons are representations and visions of them, which they tend to, hone and mold the way they would have with themselves. Although a father's intentions of the "strong-macho" image of dealing with the challenges and frustrations of everyday life are purely good, sometimes fathers forget that there are more important things to teach their sons than the mere details of not being "wimpy".

At times during the early growing up years of the son, the father son relationship is pressured with competition. Competition of the son trying to prove to the father that he can be strong and independent and can be proud of him; and the father competing of the attention and love given by the son to his mother to remove the heavy feelings of being an outcast in the family setting.

This scenario can be eliminated through building a close father son relationship and accepting the fact that love comes in different forms. A mother has a special way of loving, as does the father, in the same way that a son needs and loves his mother differently from the way he does with his father. So what are the rules for a good father son relationship? It's simple and it's easy to follow:

Always be there for each other. Fathers should be there to share the son's success and failures, as well as sharing himself to his son to show that he still turned out good despite his own falls.

Always remember that the same way a father studies his son, the son studies his father closely and take actions accordingly. They don't miss much and they'll end up somewhat a bit as their fathers, so fathers should be the person they want their sons to end be.

Appreciate and approve of each other. Father should support his son not only during good times, but bad times as well. Letting the son know that his father still thinks great of him even after the worse times, there'll be less of those worse moments.

Build a common interest and spend time doing them together. A sons growing up years can be confusing and challenging, but with his father right beside him, the transition will give a good meeting place to create a strong father son relationship.

Fathers are and always will be an important model in their son's life and it is a sacred and overwhelming responsibility that needs to be beautifully built in a good-close father son relationship.
