Writing To Find Inner Peace

Writing to find Inner Peace

I sit here at my desk all day, up until it is time to hit the pillows. My fingers ache as the keystrokes increase and decrease with every word I type. My mind rambles to find the words to complete other demanding tasks. How can I find time to feel my inner peace?

In between the tasks, your mind leans backward to the many problems in your life, and throughout your past. You struggle to meet deadlines while taking care of other responsibilities and as you finish a project, you feel frustrated since another bill came in the mail. You never seem to get ahead and wonder why you even bother.

If you are a writer, you know how demanding your life is. Therefore, to find inner peace seems farfetched for most, unless they consider their job an awarding challenge. Still, other areas of the life are rarely fulfilled when you are a writer, since everyone places high expectations on you and there is little time for you.

As a writer, it is difficult to set up a schedule to meet all demands. Therefore, you have to learn how to skillfully apply your writing to you life. When you are, writing articles think, listen, hear and learn while you are writing and learn how to incorporate the information into a strategy to find peace.

As an author, I write books, articles, and do a few other tasks while managing a home, small business and child. It often is difficult and time consuming, and rarely do I find time for self. Thus, the key is never taking on more than you can handle. Rather, finish one project at a time and work to finish the others once you are completely finished with the first project. Managing your projects will help you come up with a time management scheme that over time will add room for you.

If you are constantly disturbed by annoying friends, or phones learn how to put them in control. Just because the phone is ringing does not mean you must answer the line. Ask your friends and family to call you at certain hours, since you are working during x hours. Instead of visiting friends when they demand your time, explain to them what your situation is, and let them know that you will find time for them shortly, and have not forgotten who they are. Do not allow others to take up resident in your mind, or life otherwise; you will lose out over time.

Some friends are not worth the hassles, especially if they show no consideration for your career, person, or life. These are the types of friends you want out of your life, since they are robbing you of finding time for self to reach inner peace.

If someone does not respect you then the person is not worth having around. My expectations of people are as follow: if you raise your voice to me, try to argue or fight with me, or else take valuable time that I could use otherwise to work, you are out of my life. I do not waste time on petty friends, or people and have no room for chaos. Thus, this is maintaining the measure of inner peace I have already reached in my life.

Life is full of havoc, thus it makes sense to take control of your life to avoid losing out on your inner peace. Writers especially need to be fussy, since a measure of their peace is already taking from the high demands placed on them. This brings us to another issue. If you feel that writing is robbing you of your inner peace, then you may want to evaluate what writing means to you. When I write I think of it as a learning tool, which brings me peace when finished since many rewards come from the tasks. For instance, when writing I search my mind to provide pieces of the puzzle that restores my serenity. The only thing that bothers me the most with article writing is that I rarely have time to finish my books, thus it will take me to work toward a goal that leaves room for me to write books. Writing books is the ultimate feeling of relief I sense while writing, since it takes out the clutter in my mind restoring my inner peace.
