Stress Destroys

Stress can destroy a person since it has the ability to affect both the mind and body negatively. We all have a degree of positive stress that helps us to make good decisions that minimizes consequences (stressors) throughout our lifetime. For example when we feel threatened our emotions are triggered and if the person has a degree of control the thinking process follows the emotions.

Emotions are strong feelings that can get in the way of our life if the emotions are in more control than the thinking process. We can see then when the emotions are triggered, potential overwhelming stress is possible. We can now see that we need a stress management plan that works to reduce stressors and stress. We can see this is important by considering the following scene. We are at work accordingly and the boss asks us to get those reports done by today. The person may comply or else act on the emotional stimulus since a want or need is existing. The person decides the reports can wait and goes online searching for a product that he or she wanted for a long time.

Assuming this person finds the product, but pop ads grab his or her attention. The person explores each ad absorbing in all the information available. A couple of hours pass and he or she decides to work on the reports for a short time. We need at least 10 well-constructed reports. It is now 3pm and the person goes home at 4:30. At 4:15, the boss comes in the room and asks the person if the reports are available. The worker managed to complete three reports. Now we have a problem. We see that stress is in the picture since the person acted on his or her emotions, rather than taking charge of a situation by making a good decision. Will this person loose their job?

Possibly, since we do not know what will happen next or how reliable the person is and if the boss is aware of his or her behaviors? Another example can be illustrating to help us appreciate that good decisions reduce stress and eliminates stressors. Consequences are good or bad when decisions are made. A woman has a choice to go with her friends or meet her husband at the time agreed upon. The woman is under pressure, simply because she adores her friends and loves her husband. Assuming this woman has a personality that includes caring.

The woman has boundaries and decides that her husband is most important and she excuses herself and apologizes to her friends. We see that stress and stressors were minimized since the woman made a wise decision. Had she decided to hang out with her friends and forgot to call her husband what do you think would happen. There definitely would be negative consequences because emotions were triggered. Since the woman made a wise decision, her consequences are minimal and positive. We can see from the illustrations presented that decisions play is large part in both stress and stressors. We know that if we make good decisions we have positive consequences and our chances of becoming overwhelmingly stress is reduced.

When bad decisions are made, stress can destroy lives. If we make bad decisions, including driving and drinking or ignoring our responsibilities then we are harming our body and mind. Stress can cause heart disease, strokes, high-blood pressure, tumors, heart attacks, and so forth. If we allow stress to rule our lives then we can expect our problems to increase. If you have a problem dealing with stress then you might want to review your thinking patterns.

If you find areas that offer potential stressors then it is time to redirect our thinking to a better way of life. Beliefs play a large part in decisions, since beliefs are a state of mind that is habit prone. If you are stress you might want to enhance your life by learning more about how your decisions determines if stress will destroy or make your life a rewarding place to live. One of the common problems when it comes to behaviors and thinking processes is people often believe it cannot happen to them. They are playing a powerful deck of card and someone else is holding the winning hands.
