Stress Management Programs For College Students

Who doesn’t say college life isn’t stressful?

Balancing school duties and responsibilities with college life, part time jobs, and private tasks, stress isn’t that far off. And while juggling all these duties and responsibilities, most of the time, ample rest, sleep, and proper nourishment are the ones mostly compromised. That’s why stress in the college life isn’t that unheard of.

To help students cope up with mounting responsibilities, stress management programs for college students have existed. Some of these assistance programs are sponsored by the universities, others are private institution. Here’s a minor list of stress management programs for college students.

The best thing about The Laughter Project is that it can be easily adapted for the requirements of the general public, non university settings. Like its name say, The Laughter Project utilizes laughter as the chief stress reducer. They have several materials on the subject.

Robert E. Miller ND also offers several stress management programs for college students on video CDs. His stress management therapy makes use of Aromatherapy Oils together with the CD. Robert E. Miller’s style is reminiscent to meditation strategies of yoga: the CDs contain hymns and sound chimes arranged in such way that it becomes almost hypnotic and relaxing. Schools like the University of California’s Psychological & Counseling Clinic also offers stress management programs for college students exclusively. It’s a group service program that holds weekly two-session workshops. The Psychological & Counseling Clinic offers dedicated stress management groups that specifically aim several aspects of college stress: Social Confidence Building, Freshman Success, a Get Up, Stand Up Programme, Managing Moods, Mindful Relaxation, Mental Training for Athletic Peak Performance, Insomnia Workshop, Health, Peak Performance, and Self-Hypnosis, Stress Management through Relaxation Training and Biofeedback, and several more others.
