Stress Management Seminars

Stress management has increasingly become an important factor in the lives of working individuals, and even for other people who deal with overpowering stress every day. The negative effects of stress pull down not only the employee but the organization, its effectiveness, and its management as well. Today, most organizations recognize the need for stress management seminars and trainings for their employees, as it has shown to be more cost effective through reducing sickness, absenteeism, and staff turnover at the same time as increasing productivity and morale.

There are various stress management seminars and trainings offered by different institutions, as well as stress management speakers who conduct a multiple-day, full-day, or half-day sessions, depending on the need of the organization or group of individuals. The main activity and goal of stress management seminars is to provide “help” for individuals in combating stress in the workplace or their daily interactions. Here are some types of stress management seminars and trainings provided by Roger Mead Associates:

“Meeting the Challenge” Seminars
The seminar is a “tailor made” seminar to guarantee that it achieves an organization’s specific needs. The format also changes depending on the number of partakers, but it typically covers the following areas: Recognition and cause of stress, Individuals propensity to stress, Physical and psychological symptoms, Understanding and managing change, Workplace stress –organizational, environmental & responsibility, Relaxation techniques, Cognitive coping skills, Self awareness, Social support, Communication & assertion skills, Legal responsibility, and Lifestyle nutrition exercise.

The goal of this seminar is to allow participants to reach their “full potential” both as persons and as parts of their work team.

Mini Workshops
When time doesn’t allow it, the full day “Meeting the Challenge” seminars can be substituted with briefing sessions or mini workshops. The mini workshops is perfect as part of regular business or lunchtime forums, standard staff training programs, Trade Union spokespersons, or “briefing line” managers.

The workshop covers single topics like The Causes of Stress at Work, A New Approach to Assertion, Recognizing the Symptoms of Stress, Stress and Employment Law, Dealing with Bullies at Work, and Stress Management –And What it Can Do for your Organization.

Stress management seminars are effective tools for successfully overcoming the hazards of stressed employees, as well as being a positive step towards modifying situations that causes stress in employees, and consequently to the organization itself. Today’s organizations have taken on the motto “happy workers are productive workers” and doing what it takes to achieve such.
