The biggest difference is that the beach baseball games take place on a sandy beach rather than on a baseball diamond. There are many fans of this game, for a few reasons.


One of the greatest benefits of playing baseball on the beach is that players have more room to play. Rather than having to head off to the usual baseball diamond, you could get your team packed up and head off to the beach. Now it's no longer a matter of having to decide whether to go practice baseball or go to the beach because now you can do both. Whether you're the coach of a Little League team and want to switch things up a bit or just want to take the friends to the beach for a game, it's important to be prepared.


Of course to get started the most important thing is to make sure that your team is equipped with all the different gear they're going to need. You will need to get gloves for one thing which will have a huge impact on the players games. When you're throwing and hitting at balls for hours it can certainly wear down on the hands and even cause blisters. Bats will also be needed and it's important to choose the right size of bat because there are so many different sizes out there to choose from.


Different sized bats can be used, and smaller players especially will need to have proper sized bats for their body type. Just make sure bats are no longer than 42 inches long and 2 3/4 inches in diameter as this is maximum regulation size. Some players and especially pitchers often like to have padding. For pitchers this is especially important to keep their arms from getting sore after throwing hundreds of pitches in a game.
