The legendary golfer Lee Trevino issued a series of VHS videos in the 1980s entitled Lee Trevino's Priceless Golf Tips. Volume 1 in the video series covers golf putting tips as well as chipping techniques. The video lasts 25 minutes and originally retailed for $19.99, but used copies can now be found on Amazon or EBay for a few dollars. Trevino is noted for his approachable and humorous style, and attempts to bring this to his series of instructional videos.

Golf Putting Tips Videos on DVD from the Dummies' Guides

If you're looking for something a little more this century, the Dummies' Guide series has produced a DVD version of its popular Golf for Dummies title. The DVD runs 75 minutes and is hosted by the author of the original book on which it was based, Gary McCord. McCord is a former sports commentator, and so is well equipped to present a DVD such as this one. He covers putting, swinging, golf etiquette and many other subjects.

The title is well reviewed on Amazon, with a 4.5 out of 5 star rating. Reviewers said that it is perfect for beginners, but that even those golfers who already have some experience may benefit from it. Amazon offers the DVD individually or as a package deal with the Golf for Dummies book and its companion title Golf Rules and Etiquette for Dummies for $41.33. Note that there is no saving with the package deal, it is the same price as buying the books and DVD individually.

As you might expect, these DVDs take a psychological approach. They concentrate less on swinging techniques and the like than on training the mind to deliver the best possible performance.
