One of the most popular Texas dirt bike trails is located on "Sam Houston National Forest". The length of the dirt bike trail of the Sam Houston National Forest is more than 128 kilometers or at least 80 miles long. Its dirt bike trails is a combination of rugged terrain and steep hills. The most frequented location of the Sam Houston National Forest for dirt bike trail riding is the "Kelly Pond Recreation Area and Multi-use Trailhead". The said location is located westward of "Interstate 45" around eight miles along "FM-1375 west side of "New Waverly".

Another one of the most frequented Texas dirt bike trails is the "Pearl Pass Trail" located on the rocky mountain of Colorado, Texas. The Pearl Pass Trail has numerous beautiful and scenic trails that are incorporated with shelf roads of which are mostly one vehicle wide (all terrain vehicles). The shelf roads are very rigorous and rocky, although most of the dirt bike trails are quite easy. The most of its dirt bike trails are only open for a few weeks because of certain weather conditions such as snow blockage.
