Also the engines have extremely radical cam profiles, which will allow more air into the cylinders at very high speeds. These NASCAR racing cars have carburetors that can let in a good amount of air and fuel. They have ignition systems that can enable for spark timing customization for maximum power. Subsystems in the car like oil & steering pumps, coolant pumps, alternators, etc, are designed for sustained high-speed racing and high temperatures.
