Cheap Paintball Packages: Pros And Cons

Cheap Paintball Packages: Pros And Cons

Are you aiming to buy the most competitive and high-performance paintball packages? Most likely, you're also aiming for a higher cost. Fortunately, there are many types of cheap paintball packages on display in traditional and online retail stores. However, you'll also probably have to content yourself with the kind of value you get for a cheaper price.

Why buy cheap paintball packages?
The answer to this question is simple: because it's easily affordable. Many "paintballers", specifically newbie players, opt for cheap paintball packages for the primary purpose of being able to get on the playing field considering that a new player need to gear up to learn to play paintball. For practicality, this makes a lot of sense.

When shopping for cheap paintball packages, what you'll probably find are player kits which would suffice to get you started. Typically, cheap paintball packages include a paintball gun (marker), an air tank, a mask/helmet, a barrel plug, and a hopper. You'd be lucky enough to find other accessories included in the cheaper package, such as paintball gun oil, o-rings, and a few paint balls.

If you're playing paintball just for the excitement and adventure and on a tight budget, then a cheap package can indeed get you there. Another advantage is the value of money since buying each piece separately will cost you more. It's also more convenient to buy the gears in a package.

Why shouldn't you buy cheap paintball packages?
Evidently, you get what you paid for. Cheap packages are nothing more than starters and sometimes provide with unnecessary equipment. For instance, the hoppers will most likely be the regular gravity feed that is unable of firing more than 11 balls per second (BPS). This type will be of no use in tournaments or other professional events. What you'll need then is an electro-hopper equipped with a fast-shooting-rate feed.

Another disadvantage is the air tank which in cheap paintball packages could simply be a small carbon dioxide tank. You might need to look for a high pressure, nitro, or bigger CO2 tank in other more expensive but complete packages.

More importantly, there are two items that every player should not compromise: the marker and mask. Serious players know the importance of buying a gun with high BPS (along with other features, including easy maintenance) as well as a non-fogging mask that can sustain the harshest weathers and provide ultimate head and eye protection.

If you're one of those people who can't swallow the drawbacks of buying cheap paintball packages, then it might be wise to delay your purchase until enough funds are available.
