Finding Paintball Field Supplies

Finding Paintball Field Supplies

When starting a paintball field, it is very important that you order only the best paintball field supplies. This article will help you find what you need in order to supply your paintball field.

Guns and Ammo

The most important type of paintball field supply you will need are the paintball guns and paintballs themselves. Paintball guns, known as markers, come in two types, carbon dioxide and high pressure air systems. High pressure air markers are more expensive than carbon dioxide ones, but offer superior accuracy and more rapid fire, as well as being lighter in weight.

Paintballs come in different caliber size. Make sure you buy the right size paintballs for your paintball markers. You should ensure that the colors are different enough from each other to be easily distinguishable by the opposing teams, and avoid green or other earth tones, which do not show up well against the camouflage clothing worn by the paintballers.

Clothing

When paintball fields supply clothing to their customers, it should be padded to protect the wearer from the impact of the paintballs. Paintballers should wear protective goggles or masks, as a direct hit to the face from a paintball could cause serious injury. Clothing should be camouflaged in a wooded outdoor setting, but brightly colored jerseys may be worn for speedball or for indoor paintball. Jerseys should not include the color orange, according to National Professional Paintball League rules, as this is a reserved color for paint.

Other Paintball Field Supplies

Other miscellaneous paintball field supplies include the following:-

A paintball field should always contain a first aid kit. No matter how many safety precautions you take, accidents will happen, and it is best to be prepared when they do.

A chronograph is a useful tool to measure how many paintballs per second your guns are shooting, and the velocity of these shots. Shots of over 300 feet per second are potentially unsafe, and your guns may need to be recalibrated.

You should also have some cleaning supplies on hand. Paintball is a messy game, and players will want to clean themselves up afterwards. As well as the players, the guns will need to be cleaned. Special paintball gun cleaning kits are available that enable paint to be cleaned out of the gun barrel with ease.

Finally, there is the field itself. Signs, bunkers and netting will all need to be maintained and sometimes replaced. Good netting around your field boundaries is especially important in order to stop stray paintballs from shooting onto neighboring properties. Paintball is one case where good fences really do make good neighbors.
