An Alaska Cruise With Your Kids

An Alaska cruise is an experience that can be shared with your children. Alaska will provide your children with an amazing wealth of education on weather, wildlife, glacier formations, marine life and so much more that is out in the vast untouched areas of Alaska. With most cruise lines you do not have to worry about being unable to take part in the things that interest you but that your children are not able to do. Children’s programs and onboard sitters will allow for you to have your own time as well as time to enjoy your Alaska cruise with your children.

Carnival cruise lines offers their Camp Carnival for children ages 2-15. Camp Carnival has age appropriate games and entertainment that will keep kids of all ages entertained while you enjoy more grown up aspects of your Alaska cruise. Camp Carnival is a free service while you are on your cruise. Aside from Camp Carnival during the daytime, Carnival cruise lines offers babysitting services in the evenings from 10pm to 3am for a fee of $6 per hour for the first child and then $4 per any additional children.

Norwegian Cruise Lines offers their Kid's Crew for adults that are traveling with children aged 2 to 17. While taking part in Kid's Crew activities your children are constantly supervised and all activities are done at age appropriate levels. You can enjoy your idea of a fun vacation while your children are having blast with their idea of fun. These activities could include storytelling and magic shows for the little ones. For children 6 to 8 these activities could include cooking classes or even a shore excursion that includes a treasure hunt. Your teens are entertained with video games, dances and so much more while on an Alaska cruise aboard the Norwegian cruise line.

The Princess cruise lines have their own kid's program that will offer educational activities for your children. As well as educational games there are the television times onboard that allow for children to watch cartoons. Two dinners are afforded during the program to allow you to dine free of the kids while the kids are dining with other kids around their own age. Aside from the free kid’s program that is offered there are sitter programs that you can use from 10pm to 1am for a cost of $5 an hour per child.

Royal Caribbean didn't leave the families out when it comes to the kids on an Alaska cruise. Royal Caribbean offers their Adventure Ocean program. This program is open to all 3 years old who are potty trained, all the way up to 17 years old. All adventures are kept within the appropriate age group your child will be in. Ocean Adventures keep the kids entertained with their own kind of fun while as a grown up you can go and have your kind of fun. Ocean Adventure doesn't stop there though because they do plan some really amazing family activities for you to enjoy with your child.

Traveling on an Alaska cruise could prove to be difficult and almost boring for everyone if not for the kid’s programs that are offered by these great cruise lines. By taking part in the kid’s programs you can take your kids with you for a family vacation without everyone being bored.
