Nissan Australia

Touted as Japan's second largest car manufacturer, Nissan has finally set foot on Australia surprisingly and ironically when other countries were badly hit by the fuel crisis. The birth of Nissan Australia paved the way of a stiff competition of car dealership and manufacturing in the Australian soil.

Before Nissan Australia came into being, it was Datsun's car model Datsun1200 that captured the interest of famous Australian icon in car industry Sir Lawrence Hartnett that he negotiated to distribute the car in Australia. When the Datsun Company became insolvent, Nissan wisely bought the company. With the buy-out, Nissan Australia was born. It has since then operated its car manufacturing plant in Clayton, Victoria in 1972. It even came to a point when in 1977 Nissan Australia plant's production rose to as high as 127, 754 units of cars.

In 1984 Nissan gained prominence as the top manufacturer of sports car in Australia with its introduction to the Australian market their most valued vehicle Nissan 300ZX, followed by Gazelle, Eza. Pulsar was the latest among their turbo models during that time. The popularity of Nissan has become harder to match by other car manufacturing companies as it continues to reap numerous awards and accolades notwithstanding the increase in sales when they launch their light vehicle sedan the Skyline, Pintara and the Navara Urte.

The scenario in the local car manufacturing industry has changed when Nissan Australia stopped their local production. However, it continues to launch new car models that are Japan-imported, one after the other. With the release of new improved models Maxima, Pulsar, X-Trail, the leadership of Nissan has been reaching greater heights in leaps and bounds.

Nissan is a visionary car company that sets blazes on the trial where other companies have not gone. It is unafraid to recreate and innovate ideas, explore new dimension in automotive technology with the help of the research and development team around the world. Their presence in the Australian market is a testimony to their undying popularity among automotive and car patrons.

The company also takes social responsibility in taking care of the environment by manufacturing cars that are environment-friendly. Their vehicles are built to last, while recognizing the need to protect the environment. In essence Nissan cars have less carbon emission.
So the next time you decide to buy new car, don't hesitate to visit one of the many Nissan car dealer shops. Nissan guarantees you that you are driving the most safe cars in the world.
