Baton Rouge Nightlife

Baton Rouge is the nocturnal person's sanctuary. Nothing may beat the lights and sounds that only Vegas can offer, but Baton Rouge definitely has some of the most interesting nighttime entertainment that can keep anyone awake long after sunrise.

Whether you're in for some heavy dancing or merely looking for a quiet place to unwind, Baton Rouge nightlife leaves you plenty of choices for that ultimate after-sundown entertainment.

Baton Rouge nightlife includes the city's top dance clubs. Splash is one of the most famous night spots in Baton Rouge. Straight and gay patrons simply cannot resist the great music and enjoyable atmosphere. Other features include karaoke events, CD promotions, drag shows, and theme parties. When lights lit up and volume turns high, Splash is the place to be.

The Chimes Restaurant and Tap Room is a forever-favorite Baton Rouge nightlife for most people. Its dark interior is not the only feature that attracts customers. Being located near the LSU, the Chimes is considered an excellent college hangout. But its interior and location are not the only high points. The Chimes best feature is its international beer supply - numbering over 120, and another 30 on tap. Choices for special nightly drinks are made more affordable, and the menu contains everything from sandwiches to seafood, plus some of the best local favorites. Furthermore, Baton Rouge nightlife isn't complete when LSU competes in games unless everyone gets to see them live. The Chimes huge TV shows the day's biggest games.

Not all Baton Rouge nightlife involves rowdy dance enthusiasts and beer fans. For those who just want to relax and enjoy a quiet drink, the Caterie Deli and Saloon is a good Saturday-night venue. Very popular and founded long before hip hop made a scene, the Caterie is the best place for people who want to ditch the usual fanfare offered by clubs and bars. It boasts of a casual and friendly ambiance, delicious menu, local live bands, and nice crowd. Even though it is known as a bar, the Caterie is a place where you can sit comfortably and enjoy having great conversations at.

The Varsity Theatre is venue for the typical Louisiana entertainment. Popular for its live music, it has been a host to performances done by Better Than Ezra, Kevin Martin, The Wailer Band, and several others. Game competitions can also be seen through huge TV's, and parties at the Varsity happen nonstop.

With the wide variety of Baton Rouge nightlife entertainment options, there is definitely no time for dull moments.
