Getting There

Budapest, Hungary can easily be reached by almost all means of transportation. Of the available modes, traveling by plane is the easiest and quickest way to get there.

You can reach the city through its international airport, the Budapest (Ferihegy) International Airport. This terminal is located about ten miles south east of the heart of the city. The good thing about this airport is that it currently has two terminals to welcome the tourists and locals alike. The first terminal, known as Terminal One, was once closed for refurbishment purposes and it was opened just recently. On the other hand, the Terminal Two was built with two divisions: Terminal 2A and 2B, with the former designed for departure and arrival of flights handled by Malev Hungarian Airlines, while the latter is for the departure and arrival of the international carrier flights.

You can also reach Budapest, Hungary by rail. In fact, more than 50 trains are now operating in the city to provide the public a direct link from the heart of Budapest to the other capital cities of Europe. There are also a number of motorcoaches in Budapest, Hungary that fetch passengers for domestic routes.

If you want to explore the country's waters, then you can travel to Budapest, Hungary by boat. A hydrofoil is servicing the city during the summer days. And, if you are bringing your car with you, or you are renting a car, you have the freedom to drive around the city provided that you've paid the toll fee and you have the license to drive.

Wondering if Budapest, Hungary offers money exchange services for tourists like you? Well, it does. You can do the exchange only at accredited areas, however. This is highly recommended especially for those who don't much about the place since Hungary is not at all a safe place.
