When you arrive at the end of Stanley Park's six mile path, you will see the Lions Gate Bridge that connects Vancouver to Granville Island which can be reached through a five-minute ferry boat ride. Come there hungry and enjoy strolling around the big public market which offers fresh fish, fruits and vegetables, rows of flowers, unique mini shops, and artists' workshops for you to explore.

You can also visit the museums, dine at the wide selections of restaurants, watch theater productions, and just have a fun and enjoyable day. Shop around the stores and you'll find lots of unique gifts and souvenirs. There is a “Kids Only Market” wherein the children can find almost everything they love such as toys, video games, and stuffed animals. Furthermore, Granville Island not only offers an affordable way but also an enjoyable time for you to spend some shopping in the city.

Adventure with Nature

This one you wouldn't really want to miss. Though Capilano Suspension Bridge requires an admission fee from visitors except children under the age of 6, this is definitely one of the most beautiful and breathtaking place you will ever witness. Only minutes from downtown Vancouver, the park is located in a rainforest wherein you will hike by walking over suspension bridges that lead from one tree to the next.

Being this close to the nature is simply spectacular and will surely be enjoyed by the adults. While the kids will definitely love the fun and adventure that comes with exploring the forest. This kind of adventure is very much worth trying and experiencing to the point that you'll forget about your fear of heights or the hated thought of walking over bridges suspended high in the air.
