Caribbean Cruise Vacations

The Different Sides Of The Caribbean

A Caribbean cruise vacation has the power to take you to different parts of the Caribbean islands. For the Eastern part of this wonderful group of islands, you get to experience beaches that are completely smooth and the seas are perfect cobalt. It might be a wonderful place to go sightseeing and experience nature's wonders, but the Eastern Caribbean is more popular for its shopping sprees.

There are different products of arts and crafts that were dutifully handcrafted by the island's locals. The fashion of the things they have come up with, especially in the jewelry, definitely stand out even when put side by side with duty-free goods. The most saleable goods are usually found at the ports of St. Thomas and Nassau.

The Eastern Side Of The Caribbean

A travel to the Eastern Caribbean usually takes seven nights. Though the number seems to be tiring, it is considered to be very much relaxing among all the Caribbean cruises. The ports that Eastern Caribbean cruises usually make stopovers in are San Juan, Puerto Rico, Nassau, St. Thomas, Tortola and St. John.

The Western Side Of The Caribbean

Now if there is an Eastern side to the Caribbean, there has got to be a Western part too. Actually, there is. The Western Caribbean covers the cultures that are inspiring and the natural wonders will surely leave you open-mouthed in awe. In this part of the Caribbean is where you can find the treasures of the ancient Mayans. So if you are an archaeological lover, you will surely love this part of the Caribbean, with all its archaic temples and unique caves. You will be reminded of the world's lost civilizations, which would make you want to read more on archaeology.

When it comes to keeping you occupied with lots of activities, the Western Caribbean provides you with more compared to those offered by the Eastern side of the Caribbean. Cruises to the Western part will also take you to ports found in Mexico. It also takes four, seven, or five days to sail to the different ports of Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Playa del Carmen, Key West and Ocho Rios.

The Southern Side Of The Caribbean

Also, there is a Southern part to the Caribbean. Yes, that is how vast the space the Caribbean covers. This part has an awe-inspiring line of small islands starting from Antigua to Trinidad, reaching the Northeastern side of the coast of South America. Having said this, you can get a map and realize that this side of the Caribbean offers a wonderful view on the Caribbean's sunniest climate. Most of the cruise ships that offer this trip leave the ports of San Juan and head off to the cultural ports of Barbados, Antigua, Aruba and Curacao.

This is considered to be the most active Caribbean cruise vacation experience since only a small amount of time is spent on the water. The number of visits to different ports makes this trip fast-paced. And since there is only enough time ashore, this means that you get to do some quick shopping for your loved ones back home, some late swimming to wet your skin, sunbathing to give you that last-minute sun-kissed glow, and sightseeing for you to once again absorb the wonderful beauty of the Caribbean.
