Here are some little details that will help you understand Cyprus as a country, as an island, and as a beautiful tourist destination.  They have a great coastline that covers 648-square meters of their total 9,251-square meters total land area.  They are rich in natural resources from citrus fruits, grapes, vegetables, wheat, crops, to copper, pyrites, asbestos, gypsum, timber, salt, marble, clay, and more.  It is very tourist-friendly, most of the people even the ethnic groups speak English, as this is their second language, which speaks of their 98% literacy rate.  You'll experience two sets of culture in one country, if you visit Northern Cyprus, you'll feel the Turkish Muslim culture, with all its traditions, religion, and holidays; and if you go to South Cyprus, you get to feel the Greek lifestyle of these Greek Cypriots, from its government, practices, to their traditional holidays.  And because of these separate states, it reflects the two different governments, two different flags, and two major religions of the island.  It is truly great to know these basic facts on Cyprus so that you'll experience fully Cyprus.
