North And South Cyprus Require Different Visa Requirements For Locals And Foreigners

Tourism is becoming a great attraction to most people today --- both the young and old want to experience and splurge on this adventure.  It is because they want to feel the zest and passion of living life at its best and in its fullest.  It's because through tourism or by visiting other places can one see and observe how life really goes and moves.  Through these experiences can one realize what life on the other side of the world is.  The world is becoming one nation as years pass by, and it would be nice knowing what's happening with the rest of the world as they become a part of your world as well.

However, as things are still progressing into a one world, one nation concept, countries still follow certain entry procedures and regulations to ensure everyone's safety and security.  This is why most countries still have strict guidelines on their visa requirements.  This holds true in Cyprus, too.  Even with their political changes, and in their neighboring countries' governmental implementations, certain rules must still be applied and followed if a foreigner plans to visit the country.  But because of the ongoing globalization and openness in nations these days, their regulations have become less strict, allowing more people to enjoy and experience Cyprus.

With its division to two parts --- The Republic of North Cyprus and Republic of Cyprus (South Cyprus) --- some slight differences in their visa requirements also apply.  For The Republic of North Cyprus, citizens of the following countries need not get a visa anymore:  European Union Nations, Turkey, USA, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Switzerland, Norway, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan.  However, Turkish nationals cannot enter South Cyprus, it is inaccessible for them unless they marry a Turkish Cypriot.  Each republic has certain legal air and water ports, where the foreigners can enter     --- for visa and passport checking.  Though both republics have different visa requirements, they have actually the same rule on working or employment permits --- anyone who want to work or get employment in Cyprus must have a valid permit issued prior to entering the country.   If you are visiting South Cyprus, and you decided to continue touring towards North Cyprus, you must have your passport stamped at the border checkpoints.  But, if you are in North Cyprus, and you intend to continue your trip to South Cyprus, then you must accomplish a visa complete with all the visa requirements for South Cyprus.

Most of the visa requirements vary in terms of application forms and documents, etc., but in order to get the most updated information, you can actually visit the nearest Cyprus embassy in your place or log-on to their official website.
