There are a variety of things to do in Jamaica. The activities are as varied as the island’s geography. The capital of Jamaica, Kingston, is the largest English-speaking city in all of the Caribbean. It is home of the world’s seventh largest harbor. Kingston has its share of the numerous possible things to do in Jamaica. One such activity is watching horse racing at the Caymanas Park. There are also museums and art galleries for art enthusiasts. Fanatics of the Reggae King, Bob Marley can also squeeze in their schedule of things to do in Jamaica, a visit to the Bob Marley Museum where they can get re-acquainted and be able to relive their affection for this reggae great.

Montego Bay, or most familiarly known as MoBay, is one of the most visited places in the world. The rich and the famous find their haven in this popular city because this is where the most exciting things to do in Jamaica are. The Doctor’s Cave Bathing Club is a favorite place for those who want to lounge on the beach. The waters here are also believed to be able to cure ailments and have driven people to soak in the mildly warm waters. MoBay has several resorts that provide the venue for any water sport activity there can possibly be.

Negril may have a laidback atmosphere but it still has a great share of the many things to do in Jamaica. The relaxed ambiance of the town is a compliment to its breathtaking beaches, which are perfect spots for scuba diving and any other water-related activities.

Locally known as “Ochee”, Ocho Rios offers a lot more than its magnificent beaches. Unique things to do in Jamaica that are available in this town includes bike rides through rainforests, over mountains, and a trip to the source of the best coffee in the world – the Blue Mountain coffee plantations. There’s also that visit to the Green Grotto Caves where you will see amazing display of stalactites, stalagmites, and other unique stone formations.

The island has other towns worth visiting as well and they are all capable of giving you various remarkable things to do in Jamaica. If you count smoking weed as an option, go ahead, it is perfectly legal anywhere on the island. And even if it’s entirely a sensitive topic, increasing number of women tourists consider sun and sex as the topmost on their lists of things to do in Jamaica.
