When you visit Rochester, you are going to want to find some great thing to do in Rochester, New York. The first thing that might come to mind is the Strong National Museum of Play. This is one of the best museums to take kids too. They have a Sesame Street area that just mystifies everyone who sees it. This museum has been rated very highly for entertaining children of all ages. It can even captivate the minds of the adults as well. It is amazing how people think and design these types of museums. You will enjoy a day at the museum and a nice relaxing time it will be.

Now they always say that Buffalo is a place for kids, but Rochester has the Seabreeze Amusement Park that will be a fun filled day for the entire family. They have a roller coaster that is over eighty-years old as well as a carousel from the early 1900's. This is a place to go for some thrills. Just because is the reason to visit the George Eastman House. This film and photography museum is housed in a fifty-room mansion. This is unbelievably awesome to see and explore.

Another popular thing to do in Rochester, New York is visit the Mount Hope Cemetery. The draw of the cemetery is the Victorian style of the area. Then you have the Rochester Museum and Science Center, which intrigues people every time they visit. No visit to Rochester is complete unless you stop and see Frontier Field. It is a little place for playing baseball. Hiking and trail walking is great at the Genesee Riverway Trail. It is thirteen miles of walking, hiking, roller-blading and biking while looking at the Genesee River. The area is beautiful for day outside exploring the river and the rest of the area.

The Susan B. Anthony House is another great thing to see in Rochester, New York. A historical place offers a look at her house and how she lived. Do not forget to stop and have a look at the Fredrick Douglas Statue as well as the Memorial Art Gallery. The Lilac Festival is an event to attend, but even if you do not make it there for the festival. The lilac trees are a must see when they are in bloom. They are beautiful trees with blossoms everywhere you look. The smell of the area is something anyone can appreciate.

Plan to spend a day at Timberline Lake Park just twenty minute away from Rochester. You can visit the Jell-O Museum. This is more of a fun museum than it is about history. You will see and learn about everything Jell-O. Another great place to visit is Seneca Park Zoo. There are so many animals that you will want to take entire day to see everything in the zoo. If you are looking for a great golf course for that needed golf fix, the Terry Hills Golf Course is open for your enjoyment. Play eighteen or nine holes of golf and enjoy the proudly designed course.
