Located at the entrance of the Pacific Ocean, Panama City is the administrative, cultural and political hub of the country. It was founded on August 15, 1519 by an influential person named Pedrarias Davila. In retrospect, it has been the ebb and flow of international business through the isthmus which has an S- shape. In just a matter of years, it already became the launching head for the conquest and exploration of the neighboring region, Peru. It has also been the passage point for the minerals of gold and silver to be brought back to Spain.

There have been plenty of hotels and restaurants that have been drawing crowds from all over. Casco Viejo is said to the site of interest as it houses the The Vaults, The National Institute of Culture Building, The Catheral, National Theater, Inter- Oceanic Canal Museum and Heron’s Palace.

The Centennial Bridge is currently the novel landmark in the metropolis suspends over the internationally- renowned passageway for different ships carrying million tons of cargoes.

Museo Antropologico Reina Torres de Arauz on Plaza Cinco de Mayo is another must- see in the Panama City. Situated on the exterior of Casco Viejo, it has a number of precious metal artifacts from the Pre- Columbian period. It is established on what was the terminal of the nation’s railroad which in itself is architecturally significant due to its intricate details of construction.

The are known as the Amador Causeway is presently being renovated as a vacationer focus with many North- American design discos, hotels, malls and restaurants are being built. There is also the Smithsonian Institute that operates a station as well as a little gallery that is open to the public on the island of Culebra, just off Naos. It was an American architect who designed the structure who goes by the name Frank Gehry who is responsible for the Bilbao Guggenheim Museum and Disney Concert Center.

Environment
Its nature is the same as that of Costa Rica where there are some of the most accessible reserves. In Parque Natural Mertropolitano, one can have a taste of it which is ironically, not easy to reach without any transportation. However, there is also an option which is to head to the Centro de Exhibiciones Marina which is more than just a huge aquarium.
