Ipod Touch Features Guide

Apple's latest iPod model is an exciting addition to the iPod line up not only because of its new interface but also because it's a resemblance of the iPhone with the features of other iPods. Knowing the iPod Touch features is imperative to learn more about this exciting new product from Apple. What's more, Apple has made the iPod Touch Features Guide available to consumers who have made the right choice of getting an iPod Touch.

The iPod Touch Features Guide is an 85-page long manual that covers these topics: Getting Started, Basics, Music and Video, iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, Applications, Settings, Safety and Handling, Tips and Troubleshooting, and Starbucks Menu. The last topic in the iPod Touch Features Guide teaches consumers in using the Wi-Fi feature to detect the song playing in the nearest participating Starbucks venue.

The guide is comprehensive enough to detail the various iPod Touch set ups, connecting to the internet, using media onto the device, and safely disconnecting from the computer. The iPod Touch Features Guide teaches users on how to play music, sync photos from a computer, view photos, watch videos, set a sleep timer, change buttons on the music screen, and using photos as wallpaper.

With the iPod Touch's difference in features compared with the “regular” iPod models, it's certainly best to be guided when using these basic features rather than keep yourself guessing at what they can do.

There are a few disappointments to the iPod Touch Features Guide, however, which can be acceptable or not. The guide's release date was September 2007 and since then many users find it not too revealing of all the possible tricks the iPod Touch can do. For one, the calendar functionality cannot be found in the Features Guide. You will probably opt to buy an iPhone should you want this feature delivered.

Other iPod Touch features
Despite the resemblance to the iPhone, the iPod Touch is smaller by a few centimeters and weighs about 15 grams less than the iPhone. The battery life of iPod Touch is two-hours less than the iPhone which can run up to 24 hours of audio at full charge. Video playback is only five hours while it's seven for the iPhone.

What makes the iPod Touch features so exciting is its ability to capture Wi-Fi internet connection making it usable in such busy places as the Starbucks stations. The same Wi-Fi technology allows users to access the iTunes Music Store. Like the rest of the iPod models, iPod Touch uses a flash memory of 8 or 16 GB which means a skip-free listening experience.

The iPod Touch Features Guide is helpful to some extent and is great at introducing you to the basic features. But you may have to dig deeper to learn more iPod Touch tricks.
